X-Sabers

Pot of Duality: Most X-Saber decks continue to run at least 1 Pot of Duality. However, it is becoming quite  popular to run at least 2 as reflected by the +0.5 upward trend.

Gold Sarcophagus: Most X-Saber decks do not run Gold Sarcophagus.  This trend has remained consistent over the course of past tournaments

Mystical Space Typhoon: Most X-Saber decks do not run Mystical Space Typhoon.  This trend has remained consistent over the course of past tournaments

Trap Stun: Most X-Saber decks run at least 2 copies of Trap Stun.  This trend has remained consistent over the course of past tournaments.

Gottoms' Emergency Call: Most X-Saber decks continue to run 2 copies of Gottoms' Emergency Call.  However, it was significantly more popular to run 3 copies prior to this event, as reflected by the -0.7 downward trend.

Airbellum: Almost all X-Saber decks run X-Saber Airbellum.  About twice as many X-Saber decks pair Airbellum with Super-Nimble Mega Hamster than do not.

Plants:

Debris Dragon: Almost all Plant decks continue to run 3 copies of Debris Dragon.  This has not changed since past events.

Quickdraw Synchron: About half of all Plant decks run at least 2 copies of Quickdraw Synchron.  The other half opt to play no copies.  This trend has remained consistent over the course of past tournaments.

Pot of Duality: Most Plant decks do not play Pot of Duality.  It is becoming slightly less popular to do so, as reflected by the -0.1 downward trend.

Pot of Avarice: Most Plant decks run at least 2 copies of Pot of Avarice.  This has remained virtually unchanged over the course of past tournaments. 

Mystical Space Typhoon: Most Plant decks run at least 1 copy of Mystical Space Typhoon.  It is becoming slightly more popular to run 2 copies, as reflected by the +0.2 upward trend.

Blackwings:

Pot of Duality: Most Blackwing decks run between 1 and 2 copies of Pot of Duality.  It is becoming slightly less popular to run 2 copies, as reflected by the -0.2 downward trend.

Cards for Black Feathers: Most Blackwing decks ran at least 1 copy of Cards for Black Feathers.  This is a significant increase, as reflected  by the +0.7 upward trend.

Mystical Space Typhoon: Most Blackwing decks run at least 1 copy of Mystical Space Typhoon.  It is becoming slightly less popular to run 2 copies, as reflected by the -0.1 trend.

Delta Crow - Anti Reverse: Most Blackwing decks do not run Delta Crow - Anti Reverse.  Yet, it continues to be unpopular to do so, as reflected by the -0.1 downward trend.

Seven Tools of the Bandit: Most Blackwing decks run at least 1 copy of Seven Tools of the Bandit.

What Do these Numbers Mean?

X-Sabers comprised a greater percentage of the field at YCS San Jose than they did at YCS Toronto. However, fewer X-Sabers made the cut to Top 16 in San Jose than they did at Toronto. While the deck was one of the best performers at San Jose, overall, the deck performed slightly worse than it did in Toronto.

Gladiator Beasts comprised a slighter percentage of the field at YCS San Jose than they did at YCS Toronto. Gladiator Beasts did not perform well at San Jose, missing the cut to Top 16 completely. This represents a significant decrease in performance from Toronto.

Blackwings comprised roughly the same percentage of the field at YCS San Jose as they did at YCS Toronto.  The deck was one of the better performers at San Jose when the field was cut to the Top 16.  This represents a significant increase in performance over Toronto, where the deck was shut out of the Top 16 entirely.
